Music That Sticks

Music has a way of sticking with people. I mean, I still remember songs that I used to sing when I was a little kid like, “This little light of mine… I’m gonna let it shine” and “Zacheus was a wee little man… a wee little man was he.” And the list goes on. It is crazy that I still know these lyrics and melodies even after all these years.

But that is what music does.

It has an amazing way of planting itself in your memory and never leaving. And the cool thing… these kids songs were based off of the Word of God. They were inspired by scripture and because of that, am now inspired by scripture. The Word of God is forever placed into my heart.

My original worship album is coming out in less than 3 weeks, and every song on this album was inspired by the Word of God. Just like these kids songs impacted me, I want these new worship songs to impact all who hear. I have been praying that the songs will make a lasting impression on the hearts of the listeners. I want the scripture to be what is lasting and what is magnified. Because if at least one of the songs on the album has a lasting effect on at least one person, then it was all worth it.

WILL YOU JOIN ME IN PRAYING FOR THIS ALBUM? Pray for these specific things:

1. That the album would end up in the hands of people who need to experience God.

2. That the truth of scripture engrained in the lyrics would be catchy enough to stick to the hearts of it’s listeners.

3. That the album release night would be glorifying to God in every way.

Thank you for joining me in prayer. I hope to see you at the album release night on Friday, February 1st @ 7pm, Christ’s Church of the Valley in San Dimas, CA.
